Hi, I'm Lukáš.
Backend engineer in Prague, amateur runner, curious biohacker. I write about WHOOP from the perspective of someone who's worn one for two years — about the data, what works for me, and what WHOOP told me about my own body.

I'm 37, live in Prague-Vršovice with my wife and two small kids, and pay the bills as a backend engineer at a Czech SaaS fintech. So I sit in front of monitors all day, staring at graphs. Maybe that's why I got curious whether I could graph myself: how I actually sleep, when I'm burned out, and why one day after a hard workout I crush it and the next I can barely climb out of bed.
I came to WHOOP the long way around. Had a Garmin, then bought an Oura, got burned a few times by inaccurate tracking, and a friend told me to try WHOOP. I had my doubts: no screen, paid membership, an American startup. After the first month, what surprised me most was the difference 24/7 continuous HRV and heart-rate tracking actually makes.
I started mujwhoop.cz two years ago because when I was first looking into WHOOP, there was almost nothing about it in Czech. A few Reddit threads, one mention on the Czech consumer-test site, and that was it. So I decided to write the Czech content myself.
What you'll find here: regular WHOOP news, hardware and software reviews, comparisons with Oura and Garmin (the two I've actually owned), and practical biohacking — what genuinely raised my HRV, what cost me sleep, how to set up Strain Coach so it doesn't lie. Nothing revolutionary. Just things I've personally tried that made sense.
